The book ends with a reminder list - the Twelve Protocols of the Palace – Esther’s Secrets of Finding Favor With the King. Each chapter was a teaching in itself and opened the door for the next chapter. I found the author’s style of writing engaging and easy to read. Tenney told of how each of the steps that took a peasant girl to queen and then to her moment of influence with the ruler of a nation are essential for each of us today as we move toward our moment of influence with the Ruler of the universe. Tenney opens up a new dimension and deeper teaching of this Old Testament book. I have read the Book of Esther several times and have even written about Esther however Mr. She was able to save the entire Jewish race from annihilation. The Book of Esther tells of how God placed a young Jewish maiden in the palace of King Xerxes I in preparation for her moment in history. Tenney took the lovely story described in the book of Esther and related it to our personal journey to closeness with the Creator. Ever wonder how to get to that place where you feel so close to God that you know you have influence with Him? “Finding Favor with the King” by Tommy Tenney is a spiritual roadmap to that place.
